Montana singer-songwriter Jim Averitt just released his new music video, Saffire, about the desires of a traveling musician, here one night and gone the next.  As is the lore and sometimes reality of a musician's love life on the road, the attraction of a fleeting romance lingers from town to town. He's hoping the dream girl will be at his show next time he's in town. The video features Theresa Upp as Saffire.

Jim Averitt is mostly a regional singer/songwriter but has played in several other states including the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.  Jim has released 6 CD’s, several single CD’s and been included in compilations including the Star Jasmine CD with artists including Van Morrison, Stevie Winwood, Dave Mason, Kenny Loggins, Ginger Baker and also including a song by Jackson Browne.

After performing with Jim, Townes Van Zandt said, “Songs like birds have wings – I have watched them fly – to the delight of those Jim has played for – I’m proud to be his friend.”

Some of Jim’s co-writers include Jim Messina, Jane Fonda, Ted Turner and Kostas.  He has shared the stage with Jackson Browne, Joe Cocker (also has recorded with Joe), Joe Walsh, Pat Benatar, Toto, Les McCann, Tom Rush, David Wilcox, Rambling Jack Elliott, Jim Messina, Michael McDonald and Kenny Loggins.  Soundtracks credited to Jim include HBO, 20/20 and an MS national commercial.   His music is also included in many documentaries.
