In 1879, the last of the Sheepeater Indians, a Shosonean-speaking people, were removed from Yellowstone Park to the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming. These "people of the mountains" carried on their age-old ways as other Indian cultures were irrevocably transformed by the arrival of guns and horses. The imprint left on the land by their way of life now only serves to illuminate a past which is slowly receding into the depths of time. This video is part of the Earthtalk Studios portfolio.
