In a weekly series of webisodes by Earthtalk Studios, follow local sculptor Elaine Hansard through the process of creating her bronze sculpture, "Trout Pair." From clay to wax, from ceramic to metal, this project has one consistent theme: bronze runs through it. Even as Elaine puts the finishing touches on her clay sculpture, she’s thinking ahead to how the finished piece will look in bronze. Using an age old method known as the “Lost Wax Method,” artwork, plaster, wax, metal, and fire meld together at a local bronze foundry to create a stunning finished piece.
